CPD and accreditation
iMFT level 1 has been awarded 10 CPD for therapists registered with the Complementary Therapy Association (CThA) who have A&P and a massage/recognised bodywork qualification - Level 3 or professional healthcare qualification.
All students who are affiliated to professional bodies, Chartered Society of Physiotherapists, Association of Physical and Natural Therapists, FHT etc, may use our certificates of attendance to gain CPD. CPD points will be offered in accordance with each individual organisations guidelines. Please contact your own organisation for further details.
MFR UK is an approved training provider for the Federation of Holistic Therapists, FHT, who accredits the Certificate in Integrated Myofascial Therapy, iMFT level 1, 2, 3 and Advanced MFR.
By offering an accreditation scheme, the FHT aims to improve and maintain the highest standards as a professional association and rationalise the current system of course approval.
The Certification Mark of Approval
MFR UK is committed to quality and excellence and is actively involved in accreditation for its students. Whilst national complementary therapy accreditation is still unclear, MFR UK has been seeking other ways to accredit its workshops in order to maintain, and raise the standard of MFR treatment as well as promote a register of qualified practitioners for patient referral. MFR UK has worked to gain a trademark against its name and also a certification of the standard of treatment produced by its graduates. The certification has been obtained via the Intellectual Property Bureau (formerly The Patent Office).
Once a student has passed the final assessment in level 3 they are eligible to use and promote MFR under the banner of Integrated Myofascial Therapy and use its logo for marketing and promotion.
MFR UK has its own trademark and certification scheme for integrated myofascial therapy through the Intellectual Properties Bureau and actively looks to improve standards of its therapy education. The approval from the FHT follows approval from the CthA for level 1 in 2008.
